Musica da Camera I

Musica da camera I, the collection of transcriptions for flute or violin and guitar is a result of many years of experience I have had playing in various chamber ensembles.  This cooperation with remarkable soloists has stimulated me to arrange some very important works of the world music literature written for these instruments, for piano and for guitar.  My wish was to enrich the oeuvre of chamber music for my instrument and, by actively participating in performances of these pieces, to enable both myself and the audience to experience a different perception and the pleasure of listening to this music.  Out of the numerous transcriptions I have done, the ones that are adapted to the requirements of high school (and higher education) levels of music making have been singled out on this occasion.  In printing shorter pieces and sonata forms, I have intended to meet the needs of the usual concert program, but also those of refined works that we usually perform as an encore.

“…A real challenge resulting from the complexity of the piano accompaniment, which was in this case successfully “translated” to the guitar discourse… Determined by the original, the transcriptions are complex and demanding for performance.  The beauty of the music they portray will quickly attract the guitarists eager for the joys of chamber music performances…”

Srdan Tosic, associate professor at the Faculty of Music, Belgrade

“…It is with ease that Zoran Krajisnik, an experienced player, successfully adapts the original composer’s idea to the guitar part, greatly respecting the original text.  I expect his work to be widely used in the performances of may generations of guitarists…”

Darko Karajic, guitar teacher at Josip Slavenski Music School, Belgrade
